FOCA-Friends of Contemporary Art

The Friends of Contemporary Art (FOCA) is an informal group of people interested in learning about art trends, artists and collecting.

FOCA schedules programs each season between November through March. Programs include lectures, artist studio visits, art exhibits, panel discussions and private collection tours.

Programs are for members only.

2026-2027 MEMBERSHIP OPENS

DUES INFO

The season (Nov-May) Dues is $50 per person and may be paid by CHECK or electronically through ZELLE.
Membership will close for the season on 10/31/25, or when we reach 100 members - whichever comes first.

To pay dues with a check:

1. Write a check made out to Russell Wilson (NOT FOCA) and put FOCA in the memo line

2. Mail the check to:

To pay dues through Zelle:

1. Sign into your personal bank account

2. Access Zelle

3. Set up as a Russell Wilson (240-888-2415) recipient for transfers

4. Transfer dues amount of $50 per person through Zelle to Russell Wilson

Please pass the word to those who may be interested in joining and have them send their name and email address to our business manager, Liz Mayo at focaverobeach@gmail.com.

Upcoming 2026-2027 Season Events

Thursday, November 12th, 2026:

Best of the Best at the Backus: Let's celebrate our area's Best of the Best by visiting this juried show at the Backus Museum in Ft. Pierce. This is their 45th year for this fine art competition, it continues to spotlight the best artistic works in different media by amateurs and professionals. The entrance fee has been waived, and we will have a special guided tour by Director Marshall Adams.

We will visit in two groups:

11am Group of 25 members max

FOCA members with last names A through L

1pm Group of 25 members max

FOCA members with last names M through Z
